Macau offers high prices for bird's nest!
The types of swiftlets' nests that are highly priced in the industry are categorized by color into Blood Nests, Yellow Nests, and White Nests.

The price of sea cucumbers in the bird's nest and gift recycling industry is also determined by their type. In the gift recycling market, many "house" swiftlet blood nests encountered during recycling are fakes, as there is no such product as blood nests in "house" swiftlets. The swiftlet nests recycled by the gift recycling industry are also known as "yan cai," "yan gen," or "yan shu cai." They are nests built by swiftlets of the Apodidae family, such as the Edible-nest Swiftlet and other swiftlet species, using a mixture of saliva and downy feathers. Their shape resembles an ingot, with irregular ridged protrusions formed by densely stacked horizontal丝狀物的 on the outer wall. The inner wall is woven with丝狀物的 into an irregular mesh. The base of the nest bowl is firm, with small downward-pointing corners at both ends. Generally, swiftlet nests are 6-7 cm in diameter and 3-4 cm deep.
They are mainly produced in China's South China Sea islands and various Southeast Asian countries. The swiftlet nests currently recycled can be divided into three types based on their collection time:
1. White Nests: These were once listed as tribute in ancient times and are therefore also called Imperial Nests;
2. Feather Nests;
3. Blood Nests. Some swiftlet nest gift products have high nutritional value, containing over 50% protein, 30% carbohydrates, and various minerals. This is one of China's traditional precious foods.
