How many cordyceps should you eat at once
The dosage of Cordyceps sinensis depends on an individual's physical condition. As each person's physical condition varies, so does the daily dosage of Cordyceps sinensis. For healthy and sub-healthy individuals, a daily intake of 0.5-2 grams is generally sufficient. For patients, the dosage depends on factors such as the severity of the illness, the current stage of treatment, the duration of the illness, the patient's constitution, the prominence of symptoms, age, and season. Generally, the daily dosage for patients should be between 2-5 grams, which can be taken in 2 to 3 doses throughout the day.

Step 1: Determine your appropriate daily dosage of Cordyceps sinensis based on your individual circumstances (in grams, refer to the first paragraph). Then, decide how many times you will take it per day, and calculate the dosage per intake by dividing the daily dosage by the number of daily intakes.
Step 2: Determine the size specification of the Cordyceps sinensis you purchased. How to calculate the size specification? There's a simple method: when you buy Cordyceps, you should know the total weight in grams. Count the number of pieces you bought. Number of pieces ÷ grams = specification (indicates how many pieces per gram). Grams ÷ number of pieces = size (indicates the average weight per piece of Cordyceps).
Step 3: Once you know the dosage per intake and the size specification of the Cordyceps, you can calculate how many pieces of Cordyceps sinensis you should consume each time.
The simplest and most effective ways to consume Cordyceps sinensis are by steeping it in water, grinding it into a powder, or boiling it in soup. For customers using Cordyceps sinensis for health maintenance, it is recommended to steep 0.5-1 gram in water every morning. Taking 4 pieces per gram as an example, steep 2-4 pieces in water every morning. This can be steeped 3-5 times, after which the Cordyceps should be consumed. For patients undergoing treatment or customers with absorption difficulties, the dosage needs to be increased by 2-3 times. In the evening, grind 0.5-1 gram of Cordyceps into a powder and mix with warm water. For therapeutic use or customers with absorption difficulties, the dosage should also be doubled.
Cordyceps sinensis can be taken concurrently with other Tibetan medicines without side effects. Pairing Cordyceps sinensis with green devil's ivy (Lü Luohua) helps prevent and treat "three highs" (high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high blood lipids) and high blood pressure. Green devil's ivy is inherently a Tibetan medicine for preventing "three highs," and its effectiveness is significantly enhanced when taken with Cordyceps.
Cordyceps sinensis soup preparation method: Taking old duck soup as an example, add the pre-washed Cordyceps 10-15 minutes before the soup is ready, and simmer over low heat. Do not use high heat, as Cordyceps is sensitive to high temperatures, which can destroy its nutrients. A crucial reminder: Cordyceps should never be steamed. High steam temperatures will destroy the active ingredients of Cordyceps, and cordycepin will be lost with the steam. Consuming Cordyceps requires the right method to prevent waste.
