In other words, the quality of fish and fish maw is declining year by year.

5. Drying

Old glue is drier. New glue typically contains 20% moisture, old glue 10%, and very old glue 5%. Approximately one pound of new glue will turn into only nine ounces of old glue, and very old glue only eight ounces. Old glue is drier and easier to preserve.
